ANGLOSPHERIC ANGST
Speaking of the BBC's open alignment with the enemies of civilization, here's an excellent essay by Melanie Phillips, who writes about the rapid spread of anti-American and anti-Zionist sentiment in England. This is a truly tragic development that I have witnessed in my own contact with England. Even before 911, the multiculturalist socialism of the OxBridge elite in England served as a constant source of fuel for these trends in British culture. For a brief moment after 911, John Bull stirred from his stupor and Tony Blair did the Right Thing in a Big Way.
But the bumbling failure of the Bush post-war policy in Iraq has provided a huge opening for the Anti-American and anti-Zionist far left in Britain to come roaring back with a vengeance. The damage to the key truss in the structure of the Anglosphere is incalculable and will take a long, long time to heal. The ghost of Winston Churchill should haunt W to his grave.
